The area that now comprises the condominiums within Palm Aire was first part of a designation assigned to an area of Broward County for census taking purposes. Palm Aire in general is comprised of the Palm Aire Village, a collection of single-family homes, and Palm Aire Country Club, a 5,000-acre property with condominiums, villas, estate homes, and four golf courses. A large portion of Palm Air is within the boundaries of south western Pompano Beach, while part is within Fort Lauderdale.
